maximum cable length for Ethernet connection

i would like to know what is the maximum Ethernet cable length that can be used for the rev Pi core 3+

Hi sofiene,

the common length is round about 100m.
It should not be depend to RevPi Core, because Ethernet is a standard like IEEE 802.3 and the cables have categorys like CAT 5, CAT6, CAT...
Here is an listing of the categorys and lengths ( it is in german, but the first overview i found: Cable CAT and max. length).
