How to setting the overlay RevPie

Post by hartingwada »

I want to know how to overlay the RevPie.
In consumer raspberry pie we could change the setting of the overlay via 「raspi-config」.
But in the RevPie we could not find how to setting the overlay.(The protection of the semiconductor of RevPi)
We use the version of「2020-06-25-revpi-stretch」.

Dear hartingwanda, have a look at Web Status Stretch and try it with the option "tmpfs: use RAMDisk".

Hi Dirk

Thank you for your reply.
The Customer are concerning that when it power outage.
Therefore they want to use the overlayFs to protect the memory when the power get off.

We read the ULR which you send to us.
But, it described only about how to write the Log.
We want to know not only how to write the Log We want to know
how to write The eMMC ROM itself to protect.
If it is to possible to activate the overlayFs function.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could explain the how to do.

Dear Jo Wanda, the Overlay File System is indeed a non-trivial technical undertaking. So please contact the Raspberry Pi community for example. There are certainly some users who are successfully using this feature.
