Rev Pi COMPACT

Hope some one can assist, i have a new PI Compact, i have enabled the GUI for local use with a monitor, Keyboard and mouse. The COMPACT boots to a screen which asks for a user ID and password - it has a user of pi - what is the default password ? i have tried using the passwords on the side of the PI but it keeps saying incorrect password - ANY HELP WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED

you might have typed in the password incorrect: The default keyboard layout is German. Maybe you have a ‘z’ or a ‘y’ letter in the password. The letters on the sticker ‘1’ and ‘l’ unfortunately look similar. So change the letters and try to login again.

Since RevPi is very famous globally now, will it be released with English keyboard layout with the next image distribution?

The keyboard was indeed in German layout - thank you for the help - greatly appreciated
