Connecting DS18b20 Temp sensors to DI module

Post by kartheek »

Hi ,

i am trying to connect DS18b20 Temp sensors to the DI module. Can any one please let me know if these are compatible and let me know how to connect these. I bought around 20 temperature sensors and Qty 2 of DI module.

The DS18b20 Temp sensor has the following pins
Power - red wire - 5V max
Black- Gnd
Yellow- Data

I see that the DI module takes 24V. So, how do I connect these?

Thanks,
Kartheek

Hi, I think you have an analog sensor and a digital module. This will unfortunately not work. You have to use some AIO modules for your sensors.

Okay but you need the 1-wire bus. So this is unfortunately not possible with any of the available RevPi modules. So you can either search an adapter to USB or change the sensor for example to a temperature sensor that has a Modbus interface.

okay.. Do you have a AI module which takes more than 4 Analog inputs? Do you recommend any Analog temp sensors which will connect to your AIO module.

Hi there is no other AIO module currently available. Regarding the senors we cannot give you a recommendation.
