I have a sensor that is going to give me a 5V pulse every revolution of a machine. Can I use the input on the dio card to detect this signal?

Re: Strain gauge for AIO module

Hello, I am doing this using a strain gauge interface. This is similar to what we be done for a plc system. 5604058 is the phoenix contact part number. Weidmuller and others also manufacturer these. There are less expensive ways to do this using thing like the Sparkfun openscale products but they ar...

You can also use the C library Libmodbus for modbus tcp. We are doing this with the RevPi and have found the library to be very effective.

configuring modules without pictory

We have a remote device that we would like to configure as a modbus master. We are unable to launch pictory through SSH, so we are wondering if anyone knows of a way to configure the modbus master from the command line?

Using the Analog inputs

Hello, I can't seem to get rid of that flashing input light. I have a two wire analog sensor connected to input 1 on the rev pi. I have connected positive to 26 and 28, and negative to 24. The input is configured for 4-20ma. When I test this input using an onboard revpi output, it works fine, but wo...
