The PiBridge bus speed is too slow for our application -- we need 1ms iteration rates, but with 1 analog and 1 DI/DO module.

Is there any way to speed it up?

no, unfortunately this is not possible. There are a few optimization possibilities, if not all I/Os are used. But 1ms with an AIO and a DIO will not work by far.
