DIO Output Voltages to a Relay

Post by HYPERH2 »

Hi, I have been trying to power a 3-32V relay using the DIO. Thusfar, I have not been able to send enough voltage to the inputs on the relay. I have the DIO output terminals powered through the X2 plug with 24V across. How should the relay be wired and/or how should it be configured in Pictory in order to activate it?
Thanks!

Dear Jordan, you should have 24Volts on the output if you connect the X2 and X4 plugs. The question is are there really 24 volts on the output applied?
Can you provide details about your relais, PiCtory configuration and how you switch the outputs of the DIO? i.e. "piTest -d" and "piTest -w O_1,1". Can you measure the output voltage on the output chanel 1 pin?

The relay was wired incorrectly, the ground needed to be plugged into a V- terminal of the power supply.
