Ask to reset at login ?

Post by alf@emcom.no »

I have set up a Core with some standard tools - node-red, mysql, mosquitto and rsync.
After last reboot, I am no longer simply logged in, in stead - after logging in, I get the question what kind of device it is, then I get the chance to totally reset the device .... ?

On the first login the script "revpi-factory-reset" is executed. The purpose of this script is to reset the MAC address and the credentials according to the values on the sticker. After a reboot this values are applied. Just those values are reset to the factory defaults.

But this is not my first login (not by a far cry) - and I have not seen this before ... ?

Ah - I think I may have done this to myself.
I was a little too eager deleting files -> rm -rf or something equally bad - I lost my node-red flow and installed nodes as well :-)
So; Thanks.
