Login doesn't work with Buster

Hello,

I have a RevPi Core 3+ device.
After I install the latest Stretch image, at first I have to login with default raspberry user and pw. Then I have to input the device type, serial and mac. After that I can login with the user and password on the device label.
When I install the latest Buster image, login doesn't work as the default raspberry user (pi) and pw (raspberry) doesn't work. Also the user and pw on the device label doesn't work. Therfore I'm not able to login.
I hope someone can help me!

this is a known issue. We are working on a solution.

Hello Philipp,

does this mean, that the Buster image can not be used at the moment?
I'm new to linux, is there a workaround for the problem? (e.g. apt-get dist-upgrade instead of flashing the Buster image)
Is the RevPi Connect+ device also affected by this problem or only the RevPi Core device?

On which device do you have buster running (Core or Connect)?
Have you updated the device to buster via flashing the new image or via linux packaging tool (apt)?

Hello,

login to buster is now working. The problem was a wrong keyboard layout and therefore I typed in a wrong password.
@p.rosenberger what do you mean with "this is a known issue"?

We have currently a known issue when upgrading from Stretch to Buster. After this it is not possible to login to the web ui. I mistook this would be your problem.

With Buster we started to use en_US as default keyboard layout. For our international customers it was quite a challenge to work with the German layout.

Hi there is a PiCtory fix after upgrade from Stretch to Buster available here:

You just have to register with your E-Mail address to access it.
The registration page is currently in German language only so here is a short animation how it works:

Sorry for the delay. It was running in a Connect+ 16GB. I update via flashing the eMMC for a clean installation
