WLAN-Stick funktioniert nicht mit Factory Image

Hallo,

ich habe hier mehrere Core 3 und den Edimax Wifi Dongle aus dem RevPi Online Shop. In bestehenden Systemen funktioniert der Stick einwandfrei am Core 3. Jetzt habe ich aber das erste mal nicht ein bestehendes Image (in dem das WLAN schon eingerichtet ist) auf einen neuen Core 3 geladen sondern bin mit Werkseinstellungen gestartet. Leider habe ich Probleme das Wifi zum laufen zu bekommen. "ip a" zeigt zwar den WLAN-Stick, aber wenn ich in den Desktop starte und auf die beiden Pfeile rechts oben klicke die sonst die verfügbaren Netzwerke anzeigen, sagt mir das System "No wireless interfaces found". Vielleicht kann hier jemand helfen?

Hi,
wie hast Du denn WLAN eingerichtet? hast Du das über die GUI gemacht oder mit nano die dhcp.config editiert? Wie hast Du die erlaubten SSIDs und Passwörter freigeschaltet? Mit GUI oder mit nano in den entsprechenden Dateien?

Ich konnte das Problem inzwischen beheben, indem ich die Konfigurationsdatei /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf von einem funktionierendem System auf den neuen RevPi kopiert habe.

Wieso ich aber nicht einfach mit einem frischen Image den USB-Stick einstecken und mich über die Pfeile rechts oben im Desktop (Wireless & Wired Network Settings) mit einem WLAN verbinden kann ist mir leider immer noch ein Rätsel. Wäre super, wenn das noch jemand erklären könnte :)

Ich befürchte, dass ist im Debian buggy. ich hatte so was auch schon mal beobachtet. nach manuellem Eintrag in der wpasupplicant war dann aber alles okay und ich konnte über den Desktop (GUI) dann auch andere WLANs sehen und anklicken/einrichten. Nur eine leere Datei scheint das System nicht zu mögen...
