RS485 with Codesys

Post by Julian »

“Hello Kunbus Support Team.

We need support with our Revpi Connect, We want to use the RS485 port in codesys but we couldn't. We tried changing the port in the CODESYSControl.cfg and CODESYSControl_User.cfg files. It only recognizes if I put the /dev/ttyUSB port on the files mentioned before. If I choose the /dev/ttyRS485 in node-red we can stablish communication throught rs485 port. The release is Stretch:
PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)"

NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux"
VERSION_ID="9"
VERSION="9 (stretch)"
VERSION_CODENAME=stretch
ID=raspbian

HOME_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/"
SUPPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianForums"
BUG_REPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianBugs"

Thanks in advance for your response.

Hi Julian and Andreas, we have a new Codesys RevPi Library available. It is not yet in the public download so I'll send you a link via PM.
There is a code example available in the examples folder:

You have to update Codesys to the latest version.
Have a look at the Windows CHM Help File for the features.
