Dear Anil, could you please explain what you mean by "Modbus isolation"? So this is just a low cost but pretty well functional RS485-USB converter. It transfers logical signals. Modbus is one layer on top. Therefore it does not deal with Modbus.

Hello Dirk,
Thanks for your response actually it is not Modbus Isolation but Does that device has galvanic isolation?
Even I wanted to know whether the Revolution pi connect series has galvanic isolation or not.

Hi, the RevPi Connect datasheet gives us the answer here: No, there is no galvanic isolation on the RS485 bus. The USB - RS485 Converter is a cheap device which is not ESD protected at all. The USB 2.0 to 2 x serial RS-422/485 adapter has a "±15KV ESD protection on all signal pins".

Hello Dirk,
Thanks for your response.
Now our requirement is such that we have certain energy meters and we want to connect them as slave devices to the RevPi Connect so Revpi will act as Modbus RTU master. In this case, can we have galvanic isolation if yes then how and if no then what is the remedy?
