Logi.RTS and OPCUA

Post by palmarius »

Hi,
has anyone ever tried to get OPCUA running with logi.RTS ?

https://help.logicals.com/lco3docu/late ... ieb-nehmen

I'm struggling with this for quite a while now.
1st problem was that logi.rts needs to be version >3.20 and 3.15 is installed.
I used apt-get update + upgrade to install the latest versions but all xml-files mentioned in the bin directory are missing.
Not sure if I managed to create them all correctly. Anyway after reboot of the RevPi I cannot see the OPC-Server with UAExpert (1.5.1) :-(

has someone got a working example?

Hi, I have moved your post to the logi.cals board. Hope that the experts here may help you with the OPC-UA questions.

Hi, just got answer from logicals:

Dear Collin Sale,

thank you very much for your request.
At the moment opcUA for RevolutionPi und Raspberry Pi will not be supported, because there is not enough need for OPC UA for Revolution Pi from the market.
If this will change in the next months we will put this "feature" to the development roadmap.

For how many Revolution Pis do you have this need for OPC UA?

I am very sorry for no better answer.

Kind regards

Hello all,

Currently opc UA is not supported for Revolution Pi and logi.RTS. Please see line 4 of our tutorial.
For official support of opc UA a new package for the Revolution Pi needs to be created by Kunbus and logi.cals.

kind regards

Hello,

is there any progress yet? We would like to use Revolution Pi and Logicad to teach industrial communication (from PLC to cloud) at our university.

Hello Palmarius,

currently we do not have an official "ready to use" package for your request.
I have sent you a PN with possible further steps how to use opcUA on RevPi.

kind regards
Walter
