RevPi + Codesys + EtherCAT

Hello, We are doing some tests in the following condition: RevPi Connect + RevPi Gate EtherCAT Slave RevPi Connect Both RevPis are running CoDeSys runtime with RevolutionPiBridgeV1.1.0.0 and CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi 4.0.1.0. RevPi 1 has the RevPi Gate EtherCAT Slave on the left hand side and...

Re: RevPi + Codesys

Hello Mirko The link to the page you sent contains a download to the Revolution Pi Library for CODESYS. Together with the instructions on the page you can make a configuration for your expansion modules. This way you can also access the X2 input. Have a look at the help file in Codesys after you ha...

Thanks! Are the codesys control packages the same that can be found in the codesys store?

RevPi + Codesys

Hi, We saw the news about the RevPi connect with codesys! Great! We have been using this setup already in the past years by buying the two items separately, and it is good that now everything is integrated. My question now is about something I saw in the flyer is the support for the expansion module...

Re: Working with UPS

No problem.
But maybe this might be an hint for the new RevPi4: internal management of the UPS power with a logic similar to ours, so that if there is a rising edge on the Vcc it will switch on the revpi automatically.

Thanks,
Mirko

Re: Working with UPS

Thanks! We tought about a solution like this, but we discarded it as it adds a constant delay time that can impact an operation like "switch off and on again"; also, using a fixed time has no guarantee that the device is actually off (theoretically). The circuit we designed has 2 standard ...

Re: Working with UPS

Hello Dirk,
Thanks! We designed a wiring diagram that can handle this situation with the UPS; we tested it by simulating the UPS and soon we will receive the ups then we will test it in the final solution.

But we are open to your ideas!

Thanks,
Mirko

Re: Working with UPS

Hello Dirk, Thanks for your reply, but I think I didn't explain myself properly. We understood how to detect when the RevPi is running on UPS power and that the system can be shutdown automatically using scripts. Hi, there is no need for an external cirquit at all see here at the end: https://revolu...
