Please see picture attached:
- Is 0V the same net as the GND symbol on the RS-485 connector
- Please clarify the use-cases for the chassi-gnd, i.e. when and when not to use it
Thanks

Dirk,
What did you mean by "Only use GND if you really know what you are doing." ?

Re: revpi connect - rs485 header specs / power output?
please also help specify the voltage spec for the rs485 phy
it's not clear from the schematic that has both 3V3 + "VCCIO", see below:

Gateway schematics / Fieldbus
Hi,
Are the schematics available for the serial gateways?
Mainly interested in the Fieldbus Gateway.
The manual reads that Pin 1 is 5V fused, but can't find any info on how much current it can source, nor if the supply out is isolated.
Thanks

Re: modbus discovery and address assignment
With 'PiCtory', you can be both master or slave. If you happen to run two slaves with on the same bus, with same address, how is this handled today? My idea was that we could have a graceful error-handling to resolve duplicate address conflicts. It would be enough with the error-handling, then it's ...

Re: DFU over Modbus
Hi!
There is a service in your kernel/OS to let the revpi connect be a modbus rtu master.
Do you happen to have any implementations to run firmware-upgrades (to a connected rs485 slave) over modbus?

Re: revpi connect - rs485 header specs / power output?
Hi Dirk,
I just found the schematic, I thought pin-1 was 5V supply.
For RS485 devices that require to be bus-powered (similar to profibus).
What would you recommend?
Does kunbus provide a module with RS485 and/or profibus with power-supply and signaling + galvanic isolation?
Thanks

DFU over Modbus
Any implementations from raspberry -> target (arm cortex) do run a DFU/firmware update via modbus?
