Hi,
I am looking at driving a high-voltage relais/contactor with the digital output from the DIO module of the revolution pi.
The current consumption of the contactor in steady-state mode (70mA) is well below the current limits of the DIO (500mA).
However, when switching the contactor ON, there is a high inrush current possible for a short time (3.8A for max 130ms).
I was wondering if the digital outputs are able to deliver the short inrush current (given of course the DC power supply can supply this) or if this would fail always?
Thank you for you help,
Jonas
